ZDC is a very fast curing, but
too scorchy for extensive use as the sole accelerator in dry rubber
compounds. It imparts high modulus to unfilled NR vulcanite, fast
curing and confers good ageing properties. It gives absolutely non-staining
vulcanite, free from odour and taste. A major use of ZDC
in dry rubber is as a booster accelerator to speed up the thiaxzoles
and sulphenamides based system, giving fast curing yet reasonably
safe combinations. Mixtures of ZDC and TMT are valuable as fast
curing accelerators for butyl rubber. It is also very useful for
transparent rubber formulations.
This very active accelerator is extremely popular
for a wide range of latex applications. Although it is insolvable
in wate, high quality dispersions are easily prepared and used in
latex foam rubber, dipped goods, latex thread and various types
of latex products.

ZIRAM
is a protective fungicide for use on fruit and vegetable crops against
alternaria dn septoria spp. It is non-phytotoxic except to zinc
sensitive plants and has also been used as a repellent to birds
and rodents. Its major use of course in the manufacture of the Ziram
fungicide.

MBI is used in the manufacturing process of Nylon
6 as an accelerator and is widely accepted in the pharmaceutical
industry also. MBI has further application as an
anti-oxidant in natural rubber, SBR and nitrile rubber.

TMTD
can be used alone or in combination with other accelerators for
pale and brilliantly coloured rubber goods without taste, good in
contact with food and drugs, dipped goods, proofed fabrics and all
other kinds of mechanical goods.
TMTD in combination with other
suitable accelerators, yields relatively faster curing compounds
based on SBR., Nitrile Neoprene and Butyl rubbers, which are inherently
slower curing polymers than NR.
